Supporting charities and community groups in Westmorland who work with people facing disadvantage - helping people and communities to thrive.

Our Role

Our role is to support organisations who are working to improve the lives of people in Westmorland. We aim to build strong relationships with groups working in the heart of their local community. By listening and learning, and sharing our own knowledge, we aim to ensure our funding can make a real difference to people’s lives.

Our History

Established in 1974, the Frieda Scott Trust is a long-standing supporter of local community groups. The ethos of the Trust continues to reflect the intentions of its original benefactor, Frieda Scott. Frieda's interest in the arts, youth, and those facing disadvantage shaped the early grant giving strategy - and remain visible in the work of the Trust today.
